You do not need universal approval to deserve public existence.

Universal approval is not available and never has been, for anyone or anything. Waiting for it before allowing yourself to take up space means waiting permanently. Some people disliking your work is compatible with the work deserving to exist.

When you notice yourself needing consensus before proceeding, ask who specifically you are waiting to approve. Usually it is a small number of imagined critics. Proceed without them.
