Boredom is sometimes an invitation. God does a lot of talking in the empty spaces.

GRATITUDE
Boredom is usually treated as a problem to be solved within four seconds. The gap it opens is the only unscheduled space in a normal day, and filling it instantly means never finding out what was about to surface. Quiet is where thoughts you have been outrunning finally catch up, and where God has room to say something.
Next time you reach for the phone out of boredom, wait two minutes first. Let the discomfort be there without solving it. Ask God what He might be doing in the space you were about to fill.
What do you reach for the second you feel bored?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
