Humility is letting someone else be right out loud without adding a footnote.

GRATITUDE

WHAT THIS MEANS

There is a small move people make when they lose an argument, a quick addition that protects a bit of ground. Yes, but I was right about the other part, or almost right, or it depends how you define it. Dropping that footnote is harder than it sounds, because it means letting somebody else simply be correct while you stand there adding nothing.

Catch yourself reaching for the qualifier this week. Say they were right and end the sentence. Notice that nothing bad happens afterward, which tends to be the surprising part.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

When did you last let someone else be right unchallenged?
