God walks at the pace of a friend, not a sprinter. Slow down enough to keep up with Him.

Walking beside somebody means matching their pace, which is not how most people run their lives. You move fast enough that anything requiring slowness gets left behind, and then the absence gets read as God being distant. Friendship has a speed. It is the speed of a conversation on foot, not a sprint between obligations.
Build one unhurried stretch into your week and protect it like an appointment. A walk, a meal with no screen, twenty minutes before bed with nothing scheduled after. Notice how much of what felt like absence was actually velocity.
What are you rushing through that deserves a slower pace?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
