Money you earned yourself spends slower. You know exactly what it cost.

GRATITUDE
Work makes a price visible. A twenty you were handed is an abstraction, while a twenty that cost you three hours on your feet has a length attached, so you weigh the purchase against the time rather than the number. Neither version makes you better than anybody, since plenty of people are given money and plenty never get the chance to earn any. Effort simply teaches arithmetic that a gift cannot.
Before the next thing you buy, convert it into hours of your own work. If you do not have a job, convert it into something else you would trade. Notice which purchases still feel worth it afterward.
What did you buy with money you actually worked for?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
