You turned on a tap and clean water came out. Half of history would call that a miracle.

Turn a handle and safe water arrives, at whatever temperature you asked for, for as long as you want it. For nearly all of human history that was the work of a whole morning, and for plenty of people it still is. Something being ordinary is not the same as it being small. Ordinary just means the astonishing part has been engineered out of view.
Once today, let something completely normal register properly. The tap, the light switch, the bus arriving roughly when it said. Not as a lesson in luck, which nobody enjoys, but as an accurate look at a system strangers keep running for you.
Which everyday convenience in your house would astonish your great-grandparents?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
