Protect concentration like a resource someone is actively trying to purchase.

REFLECTION
Your attention has genuine commercial value, and a great deal of design effort is aimed at capturing it. Treating it as a personal quirk to be managed misses the scale of what is pulling at it. Defending it requires the same seriousness you would apply to defending money.
Audit what currently has access to your attention by default and remove some of it: notifications, feeds, tabs, alerts. Make interruption require effort. The protection has to be structural because willpower is the thing being targeted.
Who or what buys most of your attention for free?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
