Decency is far more common than it looks from inside a bad mood. Somebody with both hands full still shouldering a door open for a person they will never see again happens constantly, everywhere, and none of it makes any kind of news. You only notice when you happen to be looking.

Spend one day counting small kindnesses instead of annoyances. You will hit about ten before lunch. It does not make hard things easier, though it does correct a picture of people that goes crooked fast when nobody checks it.
