If you have to check your partner’s phone to feel safe, the problem isn’t in the phone.

LEADERSHIP
Scrolling through someone’s messages promises certainty and never delivers it. Find nothing and the relief lasts a day. Find something and you have confirmed what you already suspected. Either way the real thing stays untouched, because the worry lives in the relationship rather than in the device, and checking is a way to avoid the conversation that would settle it.
Say the actual sentence instead: I have been feeling uneasy and I do not fully know why. If saying that does not feel safe, that is information about the relationship, not about you.
What would checking someone’s phone actually be telling you?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
