Broke their trust? One big speech won’t fix it. A hundred boring, reliable days might.

LEADERSHIP
Trust does not come back through intensity, because intensity is the one thing a person who feels sorry produces easily. It gets rebuilt by repetition, since what broke was a prediction, and predictions only recover on evidence. That is slow by design. The other person is not punishing you, they are waiting for enough data to go on.
Stop making the case and start being boring. Arrive when you said, answer the message, tell the small truth that would be easier to skip. Do not ask whether it is working, because asking puts the weight back on them.
Whose trust would you rebuild slowly rather than explain away?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
