Build systems that tolerate imperfect execution without losing direction.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

Direction is the thing worth protecting, not execution quality on any given day. A good system absorbs missed sessions and half-efforts and keeps pointing the same way, so that a rough month costs you speed rather than the whole heading. Systems that require clean execution lose the direction the first time execution goes wrong.

Look at whatever you are currently trying to sustain and ask what happens to it after three bad weeks. If the honest answer is that it ends, the design needs changing more than your effort does.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which of your systems collapses after one slip?
