Changing your mind isn’t losing. It’s installing the update.

Holding a position and defending it get confused, so revising looks like surrender rather than accuracy. All a changed mind really shows is that you were paying attention to something new. People who never move have not won anything, they have stopped taking in information. Consistency and being right are not the same measurement.

Say it out loud the next time you shift, rather than letting it happen quietly. Naming what changed and why makes it an ordinary move instead of an embarrassing one. Whoever you are talking to will find it easier to do the same.
