Every parent survived their kid’s “why” phase. The most interesting adults never fully left it.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

The why phase is what unfiltered curiosity looks like before anyone teaches you to be embarrassed by it. Most people lose it because relentless questions are inconvenient for the adults nearby, and the lesson lands. The grown-ups who stay interesting are the ones who kept a version of it, asking about things they are not required to know anything about.

Give yourself one why a day that has nothing to do with your work or your grades. Why do onions make you cry, why is that building shaped like that. Chase it for five minutes, since the habit stays alive on very little fuel.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Who around you never outgrew asking why about everything?
