The locker room, the group chat, the break room. Every space gets a little better or worse because you were in it.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Rooms have a temperature, and it is made of people, including you. The person who lifts the mood, the one who starts the pile-on, the one who says nothing while it happens. None of those feel like decisions at the time, and all of them leave a mark on what the space is like to be in. Nobody is neutral in a small group.

Pick one of your regular rooms this week and ask what you add to it. Then do one deliberate thing. Back the person being talked over, let a joke about someone die, arrive without the complaint.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Which room did you leave a little better yesterday?
