A comfortable life and a meaningful one aren’t always the same. Sometimes you have to pick.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Comfort and meaning point in different directions more often than anybody advertises. Meaningful things tend to cost effort, risk and a certain amount of discomfort, which is exactly what a comfortable life is arranged to avoid. Nobody says you have to pick the hard one every time. It does help to notice that you are picking at all.
Look at one choice coming up and work out which of the two you are optimising for. If every recent decision went the comfortable way, take the next one the other way and see how it sits.
Where would you trade some comfort for something that matters more?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
