Making something bad beats consuming something perfect.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Watching the best version of something all day builds your taste and none of your skill, which is a rough combination: you end up able to see exactly how bad your own attempt is. That gap makes people quit early, when it is actually a sign they have good eyes. The only route through is a pile of weak attempts, because you cannot improve something that does not exist yet.
Make one bad thing this week and finish it. A short song, a rough video, a page, a meal. Then make the next bad thing rather than defending this one.
Could you finish one bad first attempt this weekend?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
