Acting chill about everything is sometimes just being scared to care out loud.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Indifference works like cheap insurance. If you never admit you wanted it, you cannot be caught wanting it and missing, and the loss stays deniable in front of everybody. The premium is that nothing quite counts afterward, including the parts that go well, because you already announced it did not matter to you.
Say out loud that you want one thing this week, to one person, with no shrug attached. It is more exposing than it sounds. It also makes the result yours instead of something you were pretending not to watch.
What do you pretend not to want very badly?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
