Weather apps are wrong half the time and people still check them every morning. Hope is a habit.

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

People keep checking an unreliable forecast because the checking is not really about accuracy. It is a small daily act of assuming tomorrow can be prepared for, which is a form of hope that has become so ordinary nobody notices it as hope. Being wrong half the time does not stop anyone. The habit was never built on the results.

Notice the small hopeful things you already do without calling them that: making plans, setting an alarm, buying the ingredients. On a heavy week, those are worth continuing even when you cannot feel optimistic. Hope is something you practice, not something you wait to receive.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What keeps you checking, hoping today turns out different?
