Every masterpiece was a mess for a while. Nobody frames that part.

CREATIVITY
The middle of anything good looks like failure. Halfway through, a painting is muddy, a song is four unrelated parts, an essay contradicts itself, and the person making it is usually convinced they have ruined it. What gets displayed is the last five percent, so nobody sees that state and everybody assumes their own mess is unusual.
When your project hits the stage where it looks worse than when you started, treat that as a milestone rather than a verdict. Keep going for three more sessions before deciding anything. Almost nobody quits at the beginning, which is why the middle is where most things die.
Is something you are making still in the ugly stage?
