A decision that can’t survive one night of sleep wasn’t a good decision. It was a mood.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Urgency is worth testing, because a real decision survives contact with a night of sleep and a mood does not. Moods are loud, specific and extremely convincing about being permanent, and they come with a built-in reason it has to be tonight. Anything genuinely good is still good at nine in the morning.
Sleep on the big ones and act on whatever is left standing. If something truly is time sensitive, say that out loud and check it, because almost nothing is. The ones that survive the night get done in daylight, which is also when you can tell somebody about them.
