Peace isn’t something you find once. It’s something you practice, like free throws.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Calm is not a place you arrive at and then get to stay in. It is a set of small repeated moves: the reply you did not send, the walk you took instead, the hour you kept for yourself. Nobody sinks a free throw because they decided to be good at free throws, and nobody feels steady because they read something steadying once.
Pick one rep and do it daily this week, including the days you do not need it. Same time, same thing, boring on purpose. The point is having it ready on the day everything goes sideways, which is not the day to start learning it.
What calming habit would you repeat daily if it counted as practice?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
