If you’re doing the whole group project, the problem isn’t only them. It’s the silence.

Everybody knows the group project where one person carries it. What gets missed is that nobody else in the group has been told anything is wrong, because the work keeps arriving on time anyway. Your silence reads as fine to them. That is not your fault, and it is also the one part of this you can actually move.

Say it early and specifically, not at midnight the night before: I am taking the slides, can you have the research by Thursday. Put it somewhere everyone can see it. If nothing changes after that, talk to the teacher before the deadline rather than after.
