Waiting for their apology puts your healing on their schedule.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Some apologies never come. The person may not believe they did anything, or may know exactly what they did and have no plans to say so. If your recovery is scheduled to begin the moment they finally admit it, you have handed the timing of your own life to somebody who is not thinking about you at all.
You can move without their statement. Say the true version out loud to someone you trust, or write it where it stays written. Let it be real without their confirmation. If an apology ever shows up, it can be a surprise instead of the thing you were waiting on.
