People will test your fence. That doesn’t mean it’s wrong. It means it’s there.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
When you set a limit, the first thing that happens is people checking whether it is real. That is rarely malice, it is how anybody learns a new rule: try it and see what occurs. So the pushing you get in the first stretch is evidence that the fence exists, not evidence that you put it in the wrong place.
Expect a couple of weeks of testing and plan to be boring about it. Same answer, same tone, no fresh arguments each round. Bracing for the testing instead of being startled by it makes you far less likely to fold on the third try.
Who pushed against your limit and made you doubt it?
