Everyone has a blind spot. That’s why you need a friend who’s willing to say “check your mirror.”

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

There is a part of how you come across that you structurally cannot see, because you are inside it. No amount of self-reflection reaches it, the same way no amount of turning your head shows you the lane beside your back bumper. Somebody outside can see it in a second. The only real question is whether they feel allowed to tell you.

Pick the friend who has already been honest with you once and ask directly what you do that you probably do not notice. Do not defend the answer in the moment. Say thanks, sit with it for a day, then decide.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Who is allowed to tell you an uncomfortable truth?
