Follow one smart person you disagree with. It’s like adding a second window to a room with one.

A single source of light makes everything cast the same shadow. If every voice you hear already agrees with you, your opinions stop being tested and start only getting louder, and you lose the ability to tell which of them you could defend. Someone serious who disagrees is not a threat. They are the second angle that shows you the shape of the thing.

Find one who argues carefully rather than rudely and follow them. You are not obliged to be convinced. You are making sure your own thinking has something to push against.
