Being liked by a lot of people is nice. Being known by a few is the one that holds you up.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Being liked runs on a version of you that is easy to like, which means it quietly depends on you staying that version. Being known works the other way around. Someone who has watched you lose, or be wrong, or go silent for two weeks and stayed anyway is holding something a follower count cannot hold. Width feels safer; depth is what actually carries weight.
Name the two or three people who have seen a bad day of yours and did not flinch. Do something small for one of them this week, a message, a walk, showing up when it is inconvenient.
Which few people truly know you rather than merely like you?
