Know how you bounce back after a loss. Some need a run, some need a talk, some need a night. Plan for yours.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Recovery is personal, and the worst moment to figure out yours is the hour right after something goes badly. That is when you reach for whatever is closest, which is usually a screen. Some need to move, some need to say it out loud to one person, some need to be left alone until morning, and all three are legitimate.
Think back to the last time something went wrong and what actually helped. Write it down somewhere you will find it again. Next time, run that instead of improvising while you feel terrible.
After losing, what do you need first: movement, talk, or sleep?
