Coaches watch game film to get better. Try watching your week the same way: no drama, just notes.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Reviewing your own week usually turns into a trial where you are both prosecutor and defendant, which produces guilt and no information. Film study is different because the tone is flat. You are not deciding whether you are a good person, you are locating the moment the play broke. That flatness is what makes it possible to look at all.

Give it fifteen minutes on Sunday with three questions: what worked, what did not, what gets one change. Write short answers. Skip every adjective about yourself, because the adjectives are the part that makes people quit this after two weeks.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

Reviewing your week like game film, what would you note?
