Never make a big decision during your worst hour. Your worst hour is a terrible negotiator.
LEADERSHIP
LEADERSHIP
At your lowest point everything looks permanent, and permanent thinking makes terrible choices. The version of you that is exhausted at midnight will accept less, quit sooner and believe the worst reading of everything, then hand the results to the rested version tomorrow. That state is real and worth taking seriously. It is just not qualified to sign anything.
Make a rule that big calls wait until you have eaten and slept. Quitting, ending a friendship, sending the message that cannot be unsent, all of it keeps until morning. If it still looks right at noon, do it then with your whole head.
What decision did you make during your worst hour recently?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
