A mediocre routine you actually run every day will beat a genius routine you run on good moods.

LEADERSHIP

WHAT THIS MEANS

The best plan is the one that survives an ordinary Tuesday. A perfect schedule assumes energy and enthusiasm you will not always have, so it works for a week and then collapses, and the collapse feels like a personal failure rather than a design problem. Something smaller and duller keeps running when everything else is average, and running is the entire point.

Take whatever plan you are currently failing at and cut it until it fits your worst day. Ten minutes instead of an hour, two days a week instead of six. You can always add later, but you can only add to something still alive.
