LEADERSHIP
Confusing behavior usually makes perfect sense from somebody’s point of view, just not yours. A rule that seems pointless, a decision that seems random, a friend acting strangely: trace who gains and the logic appears. This is not about assuming bad intent. Most of the time people are simply protecting something ordinary, like their time, their standing or their comfort.
Take the thing that has been puzzling you and list who is better off because of it. Include yourself, because sometimes the answer is uncomfortable and useful. Then decide what to do knowing the real reason, instead of arguing with the reason you were given.
In a confusing situation near you, who actually gains from it?
