Getting dismissed by somebody younger is coming for you and it will not be personal, since the gap is structural. What varies is whether the eye-roll ages into resentment or into understanding, and that depends almost entirely on whether you were honest and fair while also being annoying. People forgive strictness far more easily than they forgive contempt.

Watch how the adults you actually like handle you now. Notice which ones explain and which ones only rule. Copy the first kind, starting with the younger people already around you, since you are practicing on them either way.
