Scarcity does most of the work in anything that feels remarkable. A flower that stayed open all year would stop people entirely, and the closing is the reason anybody looks in the first place. A short life is not a flaw in the arrangement; it is where the attention comes from.

Spend effort on something temporary this week without treating the ending as a reason to skip it. The dinner nobody photographs, the hour with someone who is leaving, the thing you will have to take down in a month. Temporary and worth doing sit together fine.
