Whatever you leave behind, somebody has to clean up. Leave messes small and kindness big.
STILLNESS
STILLNESS
Everything you do lands on somebody eventually, and the handoff is usually invisible from where you are standing. The dishes, the unfinished task, the argument you started and walked away from: all of it turns into somebody else’s afternoon. The same mechanism runs in the other direction, which is the more encouraging half of it.
Run a quick audit of what you are currently handing to other people. Clear one thing this week that somebody has been quietly covering for you. Then add one deliberate kindness, since both columns of that ledger are yours to write.
Who cleans up after you, at home or anywhere else?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
