Become the person your goals would choose for the job.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Goals are not only destinations, they are job descriptions. A particular ambition implies a particular set of habits, a tolerance for certain discomforts, a way of handling boredom and setback. Wanting the outcome while remaining unsuited to the daily role is the most common form of stalling, and it feels like desire rather than avoidance. Becoming the right candidate is more useful than restating the wish.
Write the ambition as a job posting and list what the role would actually require each week. Then look honestly at where you fall short. Start with the requirement you have been quietly hoping was optional.
Would your goal hire you as you are today?
