Your future self is going to read today’s choices like a report card. Write something worth reading.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Days feel disposable while you are in them and permanent when you look back. The person you will be in five years does not get the excuses or the mood you were in, only the record of what happened, and that record is being written whether you are paying attention or not. Most of it is made of ordinary weeks nobody noticed at the time.
Pick one thing today that would read well later, and keep it small enough to actually do. A conversation you have been avoiding, an hour on the thing you care about, a message to someone. One good entry is a fine day’s work.
What grade would next year give this week of yours?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
