Hard and wrong feel the same at first. Be honest about which one you’re quitting.

REFLECTION

WHAT THIS MEANS

Difficulty and misfit both show up as resistance, and in the early weeks the feeling alone cannot tell them apart. Hard gets easier with reps. Wrong gets heavier no matter how good you get at it. Quitting is a fine decision either way, and it matters which one you are making, because you will meet the same fork again.

Give it enough time for the beginner pain to pass, then check whether the good days are more common. Ask whether you like it more or less than you did two months ago. If the answer keeps going down while your skill goes up, that is your evidence.
