REFLECTION
What counts as doing well changes with what your life requires, and the standards of one stage make no sense applied to another. At seventeen it might be a result or a race, and later it might be a quiet week where everyone was cared for. Neither version is a downgrade of the other.
Check whether you are still measuring yourself with a scoreboard you inherited from an earlier stage. Write down what doing well would mean for the life you have now. Let the earlier version be proud rather than disappointed, since it did not know what was coming.
Would seventeen-year-old you be proud of your life now?
