Rushed work is a note you write to your future self saying “fix me.”

CREATIVITY

WHAT THIS MEANS

Speed borrowed from quality is a loan, not a saving. The shortcut you take today reappears later as a bug, a callback, an awkward conversation or a thing that has to be redone from the start, usually at a worse moment. The time was not saved, it was moved.

Before calling something finished, ask whether you would be happy to receive it from someone else. Fix the one part you know is weak, since you already know which part it is. If the deadline genuinely does not allow it, write down what you skipped so it is not a surprise later.

A QUESTION TO SIT WITH

What did you rush that you later had to redo?
