Consequences are slow mail. The package is delayed, not cancelled.

REFLECTION
Delay gets mistaken for cancellation. When nothing happens immediately, it is natural to conclude that nothing will, and that conclusion quietly encourages a repeat. Results arrive on their own schedule, often long after the connection to the original choice has stopped being obvious, which is what makes them easy to misread as bad luck.
Look at something currently going fine that probably should not be. Assume the mail is in transit and fix the underlying thing now, while it is still your decision rather than a response.
What have you gotten away with that has not landed yet?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
