Jealousy says “why them?” Inspiration says “how did they?” Same feeling, different question.

The feeling underneath both is identical, which is why one can turn into the other so easily. The difference is the question it gets attached to; one closes into a comparison you cannot act on, the other opens into a method you can. Envy is also information, since it tends to point accurately at what you actually want.

Next time it arrives, treat it as a signal and change the question. Work out what the person actually did, in steps, and take the first one that is available to you.
