Some of your future independence is being built by what you ask your body to practice now.

STILLNESS

WHAT THIS MEANS

Independence later depends on capacities that are maintained now: balance, leg strength, the ability to get off the floor, general stamina. These are built and kept through use, and they decline quietly when unused, long before any decline is noticeable. What you practise in an ordinary week is quietly deciding what you will be able to do without help.

Choose one capacity you would hate to lose and practise it deliberately. Standing on one leg, carrying weight, getting up and down. Small and regular is enough to change the trajectory.
