The monster in the corner is usually a pile of laundry. Turn on the light and check.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Unexamined fears keep their size because you never look directly at them, and the imagination fills the outline with whatever it has. Most of them shrink immediately on inspection, and the ones that do not turn out to be specific and workable. Avoidance is what preserves the vagueness that makes them frightening.
Take the thing you have been not looking at and look at it properly this week. Open the letter, check the balance, ask the question. Whatever is there will be a known size, which is already better than what you have.
Which worry would shrink if you actually looked at it?
