Ending something that isn’t right is scary because it’s familiar. Familiar and good are different words.
REFLECTION
REFLECTION
Familiarity does a good impression of rightness. You know the shape of the thing, you know how to move inside it, and that knowledge feels like proof it belongs to you. The fear of ending it is often fear of the unmapped rather than doubt about the decision.
Separate the two by asking whether you would choose this again from a standing start. If the answer is no, the discomfort you feel is about the transition, not the choice. Go gently, take your time, and let it be sad without letting the sadness argue you back in.
What are you afraid to end because you know it well?
Free, with nothing to buy inside it.
