Make so much that you stop being precious about any single piece. That’s when the good stuff sneaks out.

Scarcity makes you careful, and careful work tends to be safe work. When a piece is one of very few, every decision carries the weight of your whole output, so you protect it and the protection shows. Volume relieves that pressure, and once nothing is your only chance, you start taking the risks that produce the better pieces.
Set a quantity target rather than a quality one for a stretch. Ten small things in a month, judged at the end rather than during, and let some of them be bad on purpose.
Which single piece are you treating as too important?
