Interests that do not match each other tend to get treated as a personality inconsistency, something to tidy before anyone notices. No rule says a set of enthusiasms has to look coherent from outside. The combination is what makes your view unusual, and the parts that seem mismatched are doing most of that work.

Stop apologising for the odd one. Bring a piece of it into something where it does not belong, and see what the collision produces before deciding it was irrelevant.
