The quality that makes a space matter has nothing to do with what is in it. A corner where you have thought clearly, grieved, made things, or been quiet often enough becomes charged, and it works on you whenever you enter it. That charge is built by what has happened there rather than by anything you could buy.

Choose one small space and give it a single purpose that matters to you. Use it only for that. Over a few months it starts doing the work on its own.
