Routines are built for the days you don’t feel like yourself. Good days would have been fine anyway.

RESILIENCE

WHAT THIS MEANS

A routine is not for the mornings when everything is working. Those take care of themselves. It exists for the days when your judgment is poor, your energy is low and deciding anything is beyond you, and on those days the value of not having to decide is enormous. That is the whole design.

Build yours around the worst version of your week rather than the best. Make each step small enough to do while tired and specific enough to require no thought. Then let the good days simply exceed it.
