God gives the gift. You still have to practice your scales.

A gift is a starting position, not an achievement. Natural ability gets you a faster beginning and it cannot substitute for the ordinary work of repetition, and plenty of people with less have gone further simply by doing the boring part for longer. Being given something does not exempt you from developing it.

Put in the unglamorous practice this week, the scales, the drills, the fundamentals you are technically past. Treat the ability as something entrusted to you rather than as proof you can skip steps. Gratitude for a gift looks like work on it.
